Maybe the problem lies with you not liking his wife. I understand she is younger then he is...but not so young as you might think. Your going to have to either accept her for what she is or just accept that he will take her side. My dad was like yours too so I can sympthize with you. But now that Im grown I see that I never really gave her a chance to get to know me cuz I right off hated her. I hope you the best no matter what road you might take

Obviously your dad has really really big issues. If he is choosing that girl over his blood than you need to find another male role model for your life. If I were you, I would disown him, but thats just me.

I feel your pain. The sad truth is that most dads when they remarry leave their first family behind as the new one takes priority. A second wife wants all of her husband's love, attention and resources for their life together. That happens in nature too. When a younger male lion ousts the leader of a pride he kills all the cubs of the old male so that the females will come into heat and he can bred them to bare his own cubs thus ensuring his genes to another generation. The best you can do is keep the lines of communication open and let him know that you are there.
