I want to start modeling?

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico (BLAH! I know it sucks, I wish I could move). I am 12 years old and am 5'1 and 90 pounds. (I cut my hair in choppy layers and I am hoping that by the the time it grows out, all of the running and smaller portions of healthy-food-eating I have done will visibly kick in). I have blond hair, blue-green-grey eyes (they change color), and fair skin. Check out my photo's on 360:

Okay, so I want to sign up with a local agency and I have no background or experience (but I have been offered a modeling contract once). I live in Albuquerque and I don't know any good agencies here. I am up on my fashion (i.e. I am subscribed to like every good fashion/modeling podcast and do research) I THINK I have what it takes and I absolutly LOVE fashion. It's everything I think about. Thanx to all yo answers.

Well for your age, there's not really any "high fashion" modeling, mostly just commercial but that's a great way to get yourself in the door. I think you are GORGEOUS and you totally look like a model, try to wear a little less make up just because for modeling agencies for pre-teens they aren't going to like some dolled-up girl. But totally go for it, and when you're older depending on your height I bet you could totally do high fashion!

You are absolutely gorgeous. You have the eyes, cheeks, everything. I would hire you. Excpet for one thing, your body. You have to be thin and tall. I wish you the best.

CALM DOWN FIRST! I work for a modeling agency. I had no background and I turned up at an appointment, and they took me. Once u get in, they will teach you what to do!

As you were, I was offered a contract. I live in a different state though. When I went to the booking I joined a modeling agency called Van Enterprises. I never heard of them but its what i wanted to do. I went through an interview and took some head shots. They called me back and wanted more pics. Then the people told me that it would be like 320 dollars for them to take the shots and send them to businesses so they could see wat i looked like and if i was the girl they were looking for. Well needless to say its been a lil over to years and i havent heard a word. Trust me if you have to pay its not worth it, they only take your money. If an agency really wants you then they will find a way to take care of the money issues. Your best bet is to sign up for pagents. They too cost some money but they are fun, you meet new people and if you rank a certain number you get cash prizes. Good luck!

ur 12.. most likely the only thing u'd model is kids clothes nothing "high fashion" ur WAY to young and too short for that.

and the whole blonde hair blue eyes thing is not "modelish"

You are really pretty, but I think considering you are only twelve, the pictures you send to agencies should be of you smiling and look like you're having fun. Don't pout and try to look older, because it will work against you. Try to make up a comp card and send them to various agencies, with a variety of pictures. You definitely have the face for it, so I think you should go for it. :)

you're gorgeous! you really do have a good runway face, but there's no way you would be able to do it just because of your height. you're only 12 though, so you'll still grow some. have you started your period? because you're supposed to be about 3/4 of your final height by then.

you could always do print ads. but as for high fashion and runway type stuff, which your face could definitely pull off, you have to be AT LEAST 5'6, and that's rare for that to even happen.
