Do Taoists believe in physical immortality or spiritual immortality?

It seems that in Taoism a lot of the scriptures from 1000 AD and earlier it is hard to tell whether it is supposed to be spiritual or physical immortality.

Lao Tzu supposedly was carried in his mother's womb for 80 or something years so when he was born he was born with grey hair and a beard.

From a book I've been reading, some say Lao Tzu lived to 160, 180, 200, or physical immortality.

Lao Tsu's book is more about life on a day-to-day basis. Like Buddhism, a religion was made out of him. It is an interesting, and very short, book (The Tao-te-Ching) and somewhat difficult to read if you're not in the right frame of mind, so to speak.

I imagine Lao Tsu existed, but there is no proof (like a lot of other religion founders) and he was more a philosopher than a religious leader. I would go with a more spiritual immortality, based on the Tao-te-Ching, but it is difficult to tell.
