But at the same time who dresses for dinner at home anymore? Not too many people dress up to go out shopping and some wear jeans to church! There are two parallels in todays society.

Your right, women have always been more fashion concious than men. Blokes are more into fashion these days because they have to look harder to find a partner. In the past the blokes were the catch, since less women worked. These days the tables have turned and the women are now the catch.
