What does it mean to have Tarantulas in your dreams?

like a week ago, i had this weird dream that i somehow got 2 bigger than normal tarantulas as pets, they were big like dinner plates, and they had black, grey, and white hairs that were really thick, making them lookin like spikes, from what i can remember, they came in a box full of supplies for them, and (i really dont like spiders or tarantulas, and i cringe when i see one, so yeah for me to have pet tarantulas is not normal.

so back to the dream),

the tarantulas were in the box, and trying to crawl out of it, then my mom goes and pushed the spiders back in the box, not scared at all of them, then im thinking to myself if i should keep them or kill them, then i decide to keep them and then i get ready to leave to buy them a bigger cage,

I'm not sure. You should go see a psychiatrist if you want because what you've described seems really interesting, but it could mean you are overcoming your arachnophobic fear or the opposite lol.

Have you recently talked about spiders or maybe seen something on TV about them. I sometimes fall asleep with the TV on, and what is going on on the television will sometimes seep into my dreams.

One interpretation: In one sense, the tarantula is a typical symbol of selfishness. (Sorry.) Receiving two may indicate an opportunity to treat them equally, fairly. That your mother is not scared of them is a good thing.

The notion of "box" is "proper place," i.e., not to let the selfishness move beyond limits. Your mom may not stand for such behavior in real time.
