How often do you dye your hair, and do you do it the color it is supposed to be??

I'm a natural redhead, but it's turned other colors since I've dyed it blond, red, Auburn, Black, Plum, uh, I think i've treated it really bad.Just dyed it again to cover the grey that is forming on my head.

I don't dye my hair.

Wow! Although it damaged your hair badly, you've had much experience with hair dying! If I died my hair, I would probably try auburn, or something that's almost the same as my natural color. I was a light brown my whole life, so I would be depressed to say goodbye to my real hair.

P.S: What do you think about those teenagers that die their hair? I think that is the most disgusting thing. Green? Hot

pink? By doing that they damage their hair that is already horrible because of the hormones. And it's a phase where they experiment, but I still find it too much. Maybe a little sick.

well i dye my hair evry six weeks since i was in year7 or six so you really have to experament with it. different brands work different ways. so you need to ask yourself wich brand looked most like it did on the box. plus, its almost imposable to dye red hair blonde it turns out highlighter yellow i tried it once it sucked and blonde is also a color that really damages your hair and so is black. i have kinda red hair naturally and i dye it dark red ow and once u find a brand u like that doesnt damage ur hair too much, stick to it!!!!!!!!!!! and its almost impossable 2 get ur hair back 2 its natural color.

I'm there with ya. Mine started going gray when I was 27. Some people said it was due to anorexia/bulimia that had been going on for 16 years by then. My hair grows incredibly fast so I have to have it colored twice a month. It sucks. I try to get it as close to my natural color as possible. I was a reddish-brown so it's difficult to find the right balance of the two. Luckily my best friend graduated from Aveda in MPLS %26amp; she's the best stylist I've ever met (maybe I'm biased but people who aren't friends with her agree).

It is definitely full-on hair-abuse, though. I just can't bear the thought of people looking at me and seeing an elderly person. It may work for that dude on American Idol but I'm a woman. It doesn't make me look sexy or dignified. Just old.

I dye my hair every 5 weeks, I think I do at least. I have a dark blonde hair, but I like it different colour.

Put treatment through your hair and it will be fine.

Usually about every 6-8 weeks is fine but be careful!! You only want to recolor the new roots, not the entire shaft of the hair. This avoids build up of color on the hair which could start to make it go limp.

My g/f used to die her hair to cover the gray, but she said it was useless. She is brunette.

Oh Freedom.. I love red hair! try to get yours back to it's real color! The world needs more red heads!:)

I find my hair dyed fairly regularly... I don't have grey hair... I'm sure it's not really grey. But sometimes I wake up and find that some little jokester has visited during the night and left some kind of silvery sparkles in it and i have to dye my hair to cover them up so I don't look like a twinkling wannabe!
